WHO IS GST? GST Public Safety Supply is a customer based distributor of uniforms and equipment for today’s finest public safety providers. Established in 2000, GST has risen to a high level of service for many area fire and police departments in North Texas. Our main goal is to provide quality merchandise in a timely fashion from a company who is knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. THE SIMPLE TRUTH GST has a very simple but effective way to satisfy our customer’s needs. At GST you will find our entire staff has one thing in common. When our customers talk to us… WE LISTEN. HUMBLE BEGINNING GST was founded by Jim Gay and Store Manager Gwyn Prater-Morgan in 2000. The business was located in a 5,000 square foot leased office space, with a total of 4 employees. They set out with a burning desire to improve the level of service Police and Fire departments in the area were receiving from existing distribution. After a tremendous amount of work combined with some local departments who began to see that they didn’t have to settle for a low level of service and limited availability of quality products. These two key elements played an enormous role in GST’s development as an industry leader. THE NEW FACILITY In February 2003, GST moved into a state of the art facility that makes it possible to provide a full line of products and services to an ever-expanding customer base. The new facility made it possible to maintain our service levels on a much grander scale with over 22,000 square feet of showroom area to display all of the new products. GST provides a clean, comfortable and secure showroom where our customers can see all the latest products from the most respected manufacturers in the world. Along with the showroom we have an expanded alterations department complete with full-time seamstress staff. WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER? A 22,200 sq. ft. facility to view and try on uniforms and duty gear from a wide variety of reputable manufacturers. An expanded full-time staffed alterations department.
